When
driving north out of Newport, towards Depoe Bay… or coming down the hill south
towards Newport… the Yaquina Head Lighthouse is one of the most prominent
features you will see on the shoreline.
It is simply a “sight to see”… especially at sunset.
There are many coastal towns in Oregon… however, to be really special (in my opinion), you just gotta have a lighthouse.
I have to admit… sometimes we take for granted the beautiful area we live and work in. When I see tourists visiting, I try to remind myself that these people took time out of their week (and money out of their pocket) to come visit the place that I am at all the time.
Here is the view from the South:

I have ran a few calls up in the Yaquna Head natural area, where the lighthouse is located. It’s nice to go to these tourist destinations sometimes… just to see what all the “fuss” is about.

Here is the veiw from the North looking South towards Yaquina Head:

There is so much more to “working” than simply rendering mobile medicine to people and running “great calls”. The more you enjoy the environment you work in, the more satisfaction you get out of your shifts…
