When many people think of ventilators, they think of the long distance transfer of an intubated patient.

True… that is one way we use our vents.

However, if you have ever run a code out in a rural setting, you can quickly appreciate just how nice having a portable ventilator at your disposal would be.

They are really easy (quick) to set-up.

Connect to an O2 source… dial in the settings… attach to the ET tube… and presto… seamless ventilation of the patient.

One less thing to worry about as you race to the hospital.
